Chinese-Taipei won their ever senior hockey title as they defeated Hong Kong China 2-1 in an action packed final at the Women’s AsHF Cup in Singapore.

After a dominant tournament, winning all their matches and scoring a total of 37 goals while only conceding 4 in their campaign.

Thailand placed in third, following their 6-3 defeat of Sri Lanka. Singapore secured 5th place with a 3-0 win over Pakistan.

The AsHF Cup is a qualifying tournament for the Asia Cup and both Chinese-Taipei and Hong Kong China earned qualification positions for the Asia Cup to be played in Kuala Lumpur in 2013.
