In a nail biting Pan American Junior Championship, Argentia's junior Women claim their 6th title. Following their surprise placement in the 2008 Junior Championship where they placed 3rd, this being the first championship they had no claimed gold at, Argentina were eager to prove they are still the dominant Pan American women's nation.



The final saw Argentina play off against Canada, who were featuring in the gold medal playoff for the first time in over a decade. In the round games, Argentina bested Canada, sitting with a comfortable 4-0 lead at half time, they eventually took the game 6-0 to head into the finals as confident tournament favorites. However, a nil-all halftime score had both nations fighting in a heated gold medal clash with both nations having opportunities to take the match.
 

The final whistle blew, and Argentina had edged out a 2-1 over Canada, claiming their 6th Junior Championship title, with Canada ecstatic about their second silver medal.

The bronze medal was equally well contested, with Chile and USA heading into halftime at 1 a piece, with 2008 Junior Champions USA sealing the match with a second goal to come away with a 2-1 win and their 2nd Women's Junior Championship bronze medal and 6th podium finish in the tournaments history.
